A Letter From Our Host: The Birth of Neighbourhood SHEro

Dearest listeners,

It is exciting to be here. I am thrilled to be launching Neighbourhood SHEro. Of course, launching something into the world comes with its fair share of fear, but my hope is that will dwindle as we co-author and develop this together.

This podcast is the result of being gripped by someones passions in a casual conversation. This idea was born out of feeling so inspired by the women around me. It was catalyzed by the lack of a platform to highlight these beautiful stories, everyday actions and genuine desires to have impact. And so, I embarked on trying to commemorate the unsung SHEroes that build and brighten Toronto.

Alas, a year after I started this mission, I bring you a collection of conversations showcasing the amazing leaders all around this city. Leaders that choose unique and authentic ways to leave a mark on their communities. Join me as we challenge our perception of SHEroism and celebrate the impact everyday women are having all around us.
